Ok, I know, SUPER last-minute but here is a list of what I actually bought my two year old for Christmas. Notice how I didn’t specify boy or girl ’cause these are just toys and seriously what is up with that? So.. back to toys for two year olds, I recently re-did his room (maybe a post on this later) and made it into a super cool playroom. At least it is super cool to me.
I put a lot of thought into these toys as I wanted them to be as educational as possible. He already has TONS of toys, so he definitely doesn’t need more, but I couldn’t help it and got him a few more. We I fully intend on giving away the ones he no longer uses.
He is currently obsessed with horses so this one was a definite must-have for him. I love how you can carry the whole thing around. I’m sure he’ll love it.
Melissa & Doug Take-Along Show-Horse Stable Play Set With Wooden Stable Box and 8 Toy Horses
Tons of wooden blocks because he doesn’t have any. I feel like he can play with these a lot. They’re also featured in a Daniel Tiger DVD we have and they teach a lesson about sharing with them so I will emphasize on that!
Melissa & Doug Wooden Building Blocks Set – 100 Blocks in 4 Colors and 9 Shapes
He already has this, but so totally worth to add here! He loves them and gives you tons of opportunity to teach him: colors, names, and the puzzle itself.
Melissa & Doug Self-Correcting Alphabet Wooden Puzzles With Storage Box (52 pcs)
This coloring book is amazing, super clean pages with big designs per page, he can learn to count, learn figures, colors, and to color.
Recently he keeps trying to fit toys/things inside one another and will keep at it until he finds a way so after I had purchased everything else, I went to look for something similar and found this geometric board block sorter thingy. Cannot wait for him to see this. CANNOT WAIT. It also gives you the opportunity to teach him shapes, to count, colors, numbers, etc..

Last but not least, a Mr. Potato Head because he loves Toy Story and I’m sure I can still do some teaching with this particular toy even though he already knows all parts of the face.
Are you getting Christmas gifts for the little ones in your life? If so, what have you gotten so far or what’s on your list?
