A 22 días del paso del Huracán María por mi Isla y son muy pocos los esfuerzos genuinos por ayudar que he visto. A esos les agradezco de todo corazón. Muchos familiares y amigos me han preguntado cómo ayudar y van 22 días que llevo en silencio. Pensando. Pensando cómo, pensando qué, pensando a quienes. Ya no más.

Desde el primer día he hecho todo lo posible por ayudar a quienes sé que necesitan. He conseguido agua, hielo, comida, realizado llamadas y visitado familiares de conocidos para saber cómo están y si necesitan algo. Todo lo he hecho de corazón porque quiero y porque puedo. Ahora voy por más. A TODOS los que me han preguntado cómo pueden ayudar, les pido que donen lo que puedan. Ningún esfuerzo es pequeño.

Artículos que más se necesitan:

• Alimentos enlatados (atún, salchichas, jamonilla, etc.)
• Repelente de insectos
• Pañales (de adultos y niños)
• Wipes
• Papel toalla
• Papel sanitario
• Detergentes (principalmente para desinfectar)
• Hand sanitizer
• Linternas
• Baterías
• Fórmulas y alimentos para infantes
• Agua

Si usted dona dinero sepa que se utilizará principalmente para comprar AGUA.

Mi prioridad principal son los niños e infantes, mujeres embarazadas, ancianos y personas con algún padecimiento o condición de salud.

Estaré preparando cajas con un surtido de los artículos según necesidad y repartiendo las mismas. Sepan que mi compromiso mayor es ser transparente así que mantendré un listado con todo lo que reciba y de todo lo que haga llegar a los damnificados.

After 22 days of the passage of Hurricane Maria on my beautiful Island, Puerto Rico, I have seen very few genuine efforts to help those damnified. To those who have helped, I thank you with all my heart. Family and friends have asked me how they can help and I have been in silence for 22 days. Thinking. Thinking how, thinking what, thinking to whom. No more thinking.

From day one I have done my best to help those that truly need help. I’ve found water, ice, food, made calls and visited relatives of acquaintances to find out how they are and if they need anything. I have done everything from the bottom of my heart because I want and because I can. Now I want more. TO ALL of those who have asked me how they can help, I ask them to donate what they can. No effort is too small.

Items that are needed the most:

• Canned food (tuna, sausage, ham, etc.)
• Insect repellent
• Diapers (for adults and children)
• Wipes
• Paper towels
• Toilet paper
• Detergents (mainly for disinfecting)
• Hand sanitizer
• Lanterns
• Batteries
• Formulas and infant food
• Water

If you donate money know that it will be used mainly to buy WATER.

My main priority is children and infants, pregnant women, the elderly and people with any health condition.

I will be preparing boxes with an assortment of items divided by need and distributing them. Know that my biggest commitment is to be transparent so I will keep a list of everything received and everything donated to the victims.
